Thanks to Duane Schriever for this photo of the visual recording I did for the St. Anthony Park Community Foundation.
Have you read The Signature of All Things by Elizabeth Gilbert? I listened to it read by Juliet Stevenson and so enjoyed it. Here’s what I did with one of my favorite passages from the book:
Working at a recent meeting to keep things organized (and shiny, thanks to the whiteboard).
Had fun doing a 50 year timeline for Voyageur Outward Bound.
Working on a passport sized travel journal for a friend traveling to Paris. Here’s a start.
Played Inkflow app it a bit tonight. Lots of possibilities. I like how it reduces my bookshelf to basic shapes.
I’ve always wondered about the line I’ve heard that 70% of our brain is devoted to visual processing. That hasn’t stopped me from perpetuating the myth – it’s too self serving for someone who advocates for greater use of visual recording. Peter Durand, star of the visual facilitation and scribing world, writes about it in his latest blog post Busting Visual Myths.
